Sell to us FAQ
What kind of memory do you purchase?
DRAM on it. This include all DRAM technologies; from the oldest EDO and FPM types to the current SDRAM and DDR technologies. Products that we are interested in purchasing vary drastically in physical size. From large EMC cache cards and mainframe memory to Server/Desktop DIMMS and tiny laptop SO DIMMS.
What are the minimum and the maximum amounts that you will purchase?
Although we prefer to purchase large lots, we will purchase individual memory modules from anyone. MemoryStore.com currently purchases excess memory inventory from some of the world’s largest Companies as well as DRAM and computer manufacturers, so there is no amount too large for us to purchase.
How does the process work if we have memory to sell?
If you have the memory identified and sorted, you can simply email, phone or fax us the list and we will make you an offer. Email: selltous@memorystore.com, Phone: 877-ADD-RAM9 (233-7269), or Fax: 215-643-6400
What if we have accumulated a quantity of memory and we do not have access to, or want to spend the resources to identify and sort the memory?
MemoryStore.com has a unique, no risk program known as “Sort and Settle”. After contacting us we will issue you a special “Sort and Settle” Purchase Order. We will have the memory picked up at your facility and shipped to us at our expense. Our experts will quickly sort through your shipment at our secure, ISO 9001 certified facility in Pennsylvania. One of our experts will then contact you with our cash offer. You then have the right to accept or refuse our offer. If you choose not to accept our offer we will ship the memory back to you, again at our expense.
Will you purchase modules that have tested “bad”?
Yes, even memory modules that test “bad” can still have value and can generate revenue for your company. MemoryStore.com owns hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of sophisticated test equipment that allows us to identify the individual failing chip or chips on individual modules. We purchase “bad” modules because MemoryStore.com has the technology to repair the memory module or remove the remaining functional DRAM chips for use in other products.
What if I do not want the memory products sold back into the market?
In those cases, MemoryStore.com will contractually agree to remove the DRAM components and recycle the PCB. This generates revenue for you, and guarantees that the modules will not re-enter the market.
What value can I expect from my memory?
Generally, larger capacity modules are worth more than lower capacity ones. Within each type of DRAM, SDRAM or DDR technology though, there are many different speeds, configurations and densities that will affect the value. The memory we purchase ranges in value from $1.00 per pound to several thousand dollars per module! Call our experts to determine the value of your memory.
I’m concerned about the environment. What happens to all the components?
MemoryStore.com guarantees that all memory modules will be properly recycled. The recycling process include the reuse or recovery of all materials and components contained within or on the memory modules. Additionally, all materials classified as hazardous will be properly disposed of at a licensed and audited facility.
